About

Kashi Barbara Carasso

My name is Kashi. I'm a certified Somatic Experiencing® (SE) Practitioner, therapist in the Neuro-Affective Relational Model® (NARM), holistic counselor and group facilitator. I assist in trainings at the Working with People Academy, and for almost 20 years have been engaged with the Path of Love personal growth and development process — as a participant, team leader, and assistant facilitator.

Alongside my private practice, I facilitate trauma and stress-relief workshops, both online and in person, for people living or working in crisis-affected environments. I also offer SE-based trauma sessions at Kruispost for undocumented individuals, facilitate workshops and online SE-oriented support groups (amongst others for professionals from the International Assistance community), and am a member of the SE Committee for Humanitarian Response (SECHR).

What shapes my work most is a deep trust in the body's innate capacity to heal. My approach is grounded in the shared principles of NARM, Somatic Experiencing®, the Academy, and Path of Love: creating safety, cultivating gentle curiosity towards present-moment experience, and moving at a pace that feels respectful and supportive.

In another part of my professional life, I work as a public health specialist (MPH, MScPharm) and am a partner at hera – right to health & development, focusing on improving access to care and treatment in Africa and the Middle East.

Kashi is a licensed practitioner and member of the professional association CAT (Collectief Alternatieve Therapeuten, registration number CL1957-06-03-19) and registered with GAT (the government-recognised WKKGZ disputes committee).
